I had 2 Christmas Parties at my house yesterday, So for the last week, I've had a huge list of things I wanted to get done!!

Project 3 billion four hundred thirty seven: (jk)
I saw this candy cane arrangement on Pinterest, so I decided to make my own. I used an old candle jar, ribbon, a glue gun, and 36 candy canes. I glued the candy canes to the jar, then tied a ribbon around it. I got some roses at Old Time Pottery to put in it!!

I also wanted to make a snowman cake for my party, so I tried fondant for the first time. My sister helped me. We had so much fun!! As you can see, it was really messy there for a while...but after needing the fondant for like an hour (jk) it finally came together

I'm a mess in this picture!! I was cleaning all day!!!

I found these old pictures of us, and decided to do a page of the two of us in grade school!! I loved how it turned out and I put it up in the frame in my craft space.

I found these letters to Santa, so John and I filled them out. Then I smashed them!! We had so much fun!! I felt like a little kid again!! We decided to make our Santa letters a yearly thing!!

Another project:
I put this together for my mom.

Another Project: We have a kitchen towel gift exchange for our WMS Christmas party, so I decided to make my own...Let's just say I don't like cutting fabric on my Cricut!! Next time I think I'd use a thicker fabric for the words. I chose a cotton for this project, and I had a terrible time cutting the words out. The fabric kept moving on the mat. It was a mess!!

So, now my house is super clean, and I have lots of yummy treats leftover to eat!!

A recap of my week...

Today I am finally feeling somewhat better. Last Saturday night, I came home from church with a really bad headache/fever/chills. Then I spent all day Sunday on the couch! Then I did too much Monday {I made kitchen towels} Pictures will come soon!

By Wednesday afternoon I really started to feel it all over again...Thursday I spent most of the day on the couch...again!! I'm so tired of being sick!!
So I'm taking it easy.
Today's my mom's birthday, so the kids and I went over to her house for breakfast. That was fun:) I am kinda sad that it's the first Friday of the month and I'm not going to Cafe Crop tonight. But I am going to try to scrap some pages tonight after the kids go to bed.
Also, John and I are planning on finally decorating the Christmas tree tonight too. We put it up on Monday night, but we couldn't find any of our lights from last year. {And you really can't decorate until the lights go on...} So, John brought more light home Wednesday night, but I didn't feel like even moving. So decorating the tree out of the question!!

I decided to finish our Christmas Smash book. I used white vinyl for the title. I already have several Christmas cards to put in it!!

Happy Thanksgiving & A Card!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I made this card for my Husband for Thanksgiving!! I thought it turned out really cute~

I embossed the "Give Thanks" with black embossing powder and my heat tool. I love the embossed look!! It's so easy to do too~

John went hunting this morning, so when I woke up, I found this by my bed~My FaVoRiTe magazine & a very sweet card~ The laundry was folded, and he bought us breakfast {in the freezer}

So, the kids and I made John Thanksgiving cards~
Kaitie loved putting her hands in the paint;
Travis did not! He cried! But afterwards, he had fun coloring on the card~

The Most Adorable Card Ever!!!

Yesterday, One of my pinao students came over to make cards. So we decided to make these. We made 11 cards. Ten for her and one for me:)
I fount this Gingerbread Man Large Punch & I absolutely LoVe it!! I stamped and embossed their cute little faces with the Everyday Character Face from Peachy Keen Stamps.

My New Smash Book for Piano...

I decided to make a smash book for all my piano things. I put my book together last week at Cafe Crop. This is my 3rd book I've made in the last 3 weeks!! I think I'm addicted!! LOL!!
Pictures of my recitals, notes from students, my recital pictures from long ago, etc...
I thought it would be nice to keep track of everyone I've taught through the years. Plus I wanted a place for my students to see me as I've played the piano throughout the years.
I started my first page with a recital program from the first recital I had for my students. I found it in an old Christmas book today. I had forgotten about some of those students form 5 years ago!!

Thanksgiving Cards...

I was asked on Saturday to make 30 cards for the Thanksgiving baskets we are giving out from South Point Baptist Church. So, after the service Saturday night, I went home and started thinking of ideas. I love these little pilgram people. I have the Everyday Character Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used my Fiskars Scalloped Border Punch for my 3 level embossed boarder. My Sweet Hubby helped me punch out the brown paper!! I had to cut out 90 different boarders. The bottom layer is 2.5 inches tall by 4.25 inches wide, the second layer is 1.5 inches and the top layer is .75 inches tall. Then I used 3 different embossing folders to add the extra pop I wanted. Then I cut out 60 little pilgram people(30 men & 30 women) John helped me print out the "From South Point Baptist Church." Then we punched them with my tag punch. LOVE how they turned out!!

I had my house cleaner come on Saturday. So since my house is clean, today I'm making Christmas presents. I have my serger and sewing maching out on my kitchen table. I will post pictures soon!!

~My Very Own Smash Book~

I ordered a Smash book form K & Company, but it was taking too long to come in the mail. So, since I'm a little impatient, I decided to make my very own book. I got mat board and cut a bunch of Fall paper; I taped it all together, then ran to Kinkos where they put a spiral in it for me for $4. It only took two of hours. Smashing is a lot easier than doing a scrapbook page, at least that's what I think:) I wanted to do this book for November. I'm going to make little tags that say "I'm thankful for..." and have my family fill them in on Thanksgiving day, then make a page out of that.
I want to make on for December. It will be great for putting all the christmas cards in and family pictures. Plus I can keep track of what everyone got for Chirstmas:)

9. I will join as many swaps as possible to use up my supplies and get different supplies for…FREE!

10. I cannot sign up for anymore classes because I will accidentally find myself in a store with lots and lots of scrapbook supplies that I don't need!

11. I promise I really will get ALL my photos organized!

12. Most importantly, I must NOT think of myself as a scrapbook supply collector!! I'm a user, NOT a collector!!

Halloween Treats: Mini Pizza Boxes

I got a Mini Pizza Box from eBay. I just loved how these turned out!! The boxes are super easy to make and so fast with my Sizzix BigKick Machine.
I used the Ghost from Cricut-Paper-Doll-Dress-Up-Cartridge, and I used a tag punch that I got from Michaels. I got that green and white bakers twine from The Twinery-{LOVE the Twinery!!!!}
I stamped that "Trick or Treat" from a stamp I had, and I embossed the tag with Cuttlebug-Embossing-Folders-A2-Spots-and-Dots.
I put my chocolate chip cookies in the box and tied it shut with a satin black ribbon.
I just LOVE the googly eyes too!! I think it added a little bit of "me" to the box!

This was a really simple and quick layout I did last week. Here was the paper I had:

My Martha Stuart Circle Cutter

I cut out the circles from the teal paper and added them randomly to the orange paper. Then I cut my pictures using the circle cutter. Sometimes when I try to cut my pictures with the circle cutter, the picture will move while cutting. (Grumpy Scraper!!) So I always tape the corners of the picture to my cutting mat first. That way the picture won't slip, and I get a perfect cut. (Happy Scraper!!)

I used my EK-Paper-Shapers-Punch-Edger-Pumpkins for the bottom of my page and the Hello Kitty Font for the letters.

Toy Story Room....

I decided to redo my kids room. I decorated Kaitie's room right before she was born.
Kaitie is now 3 years old, and I was starting to feel like it was time to change it to a fun play room for both my 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son.
Before:

I decided to make a Toy Story Room. My kids love Woody and Buzz!! Since I have the Imagine, I decided to buy the Toy Story Cartridge. I found it on E-Bay for $19. I found Cricut Imagine White Printable Vinyl for $10 at Hobby Lobby. There are five 12x12 sheets in each package. I decided to cut 22 characters. I bought regular black vinyl for the first layer layer of each character.
Since the Toy Story Cartridge isn't an Imagine cartridge, I had to enter an RGB code for each different color. I found Toy Story RGB Codes. It was life saver. It just took about an hour for each character.

After:
I painted the top half of the room Buzz Blaster Blue, then the bottom half is white.
I cut all their names out of regular whit vinyl using Hello Kitty Font . I love that "fat" look of those letters.

I cut out a ton of clouds from regular white vinyl using Create a Critter.

I bought letters form Hobby Lobby, painted them and added buttons, ribbons, and extra embellishments.
I used a chalk board paint for the outer walls of their room. The kids love it!!

This is my favorite part of the room: This Toy Story sign.

I found this Toy Story fabric and made curtains and pillows.

I found a Toy Story bed on Craig's List for $20.

I put some stickers on the light switch cover.

Supplies: 2 White Vinyl packages, 1 Black Vinyl package, 4Printable Vinyl packages, Cricut Imagine, & Cricut Imagine.

I used about $10 worth of my Imagine ink (around 20 full sheets of color)

Total price for the boarder and clouds about $75.

For my birthday, my Hubby got me this Big Kick. I love it!! I only have a few die cuts, but it's nice to just cut something quickly without having to get my cricut out.

I Also found these bins for my paper. I really like them. I separated all of my paper by color, so now I have a hanging file for each color. And there is this extra spot on top for my paper cutter. It was always to big to store in my 12x12 drawers.

I also got this Martha Stuart paper scorer. I can now make an A2 envelope!!

I won this on e-bay for $150!!! I was super excited!!! I only have one Imagine Cart, but it is so much fun. I'm still learning everything about it thought.

I found these from The Twinery. I absolutely love them!! They brighten up any page or card!!

I just love the names of the colors.

In A Month!!

Well, It has been a little over a month since my last entry! It has been a month full of fun and surprises! I went to visit one of my dearest friends for 5 days all by myself. We had a blast just being girls, shopping, scrapbooking, and eating tons of bad food. They had a teen activity at a park one night, so that was fun. Then that Sunday, I played the piano for the offeratories, and Christina and I sang a duet for the special. We went swimming at her gym too!! I love to swim. That week went by so fast!!

Then, John resigned his job working at the high school, so now he works for he and his dad's landscaping business full time. He'll do that until the end of October, then he needs to find something else (he has several lines on a job). I have felt like we are on vacation! John use to work at the school from 7-4, then go straight to mowing till 9/10pm. So, now he works from 10-6. We get to see his so much more. We are all happier. I love our new schedule. So this is the first time since kindergarten we don't have to follow the school schedule. Right after John and I graduated from college, he got hired at the school, so we have been on the school schedule for ever!

Our church started a church in the town right next to us, South Point Baptist Church. It meets on Saturday nights. John and I are the baptistry team, and I sing and play the piano once and a while too. We love it!! It reminds me of the small church I was in when I was in grade school. I'm excited about the future of South Point.

I quit one of my singing groups I've been in for the past 5 yeras. So, now I'm only in 2 groups. Now I have a bit more time during the week.

I am working on a music project that I'm hoping to be done with by the end of October. Then I'm going to start a shop on Etsy. I have a ton of ideas. I just want to finish my music project. I wish I could have a million hours a day sometimes!

I got a cricut Imagine, the Once Upon A Princess cartridge, a Sizzix Big Shot, and some die cuts. I also reorganized my whole craft area. I like it so much better now. I got 3 Iris Scrapbook Carriers that hold all my paper. Now I have 7 free drawers to better organize myself:)

As of right now I do not have any pictures to scrap...I'm all caught up!!! I don't think I have ever been all caught up before:) So, I'm supper excited about that!!

So, this has been my life the last month!! Busy & Happy!!

At the airport....

I'm at O'Hare (all by myself) waiting to fly out to visit my friend Christina in PA. I come back on Monday! 6 days of girl time! We are going to have a blast! I only brought a carry on, so I didn't bring very many scrapbooking supplies, but I have my gypsy in my purse & my Peechy Keen Stamp set in my carry on bag. I brought about 6 pages of pictures to work on this week too! Christina has a Cricut Expression...we stood in line at Walmart for 3 hours the day after Thanksgiving 2 years ago for her to buy it for an incredible price! We always have a blast together!!!!! I also found her a Sizziz's embossing machine a few weeks ago for an amazing price, so I stuffed that in my carry on too! I can't wait fot her to see it! It's so cute!
Now I am just waiting....I have an hour & 40 minutes till my flight leaves. But I have my Starbucks carmel latte & a good book on my phone waiting to be read!
I already miss my kiddos though!

Road Trip Layout...

Every time I got to Cafe Crop, I always want to scrap the next day!! But my Saturday was filled with teaching piano, cleaning, having a recital at my house, and helping at South Point Church in the evening. So, yesterday morning, I stayed home from church with Kaitie (because of her excema) & got 1 more page done!! Yay!!
I just have 2 more 2 page layouts to do to be all caught up with Trav's book. Kaitie's on the other hand...Well, I'm taking one thing at a time:)
I decided to keep a 4th of July/ red. white & blue theme for our trip to make it easier on me!!

Cafe Crop 8.5.11

I went to Cafe Crop with a friend on Friday night for a much needed girls night of yummy food and fellowship. Plus I'm way behind on the kids scrapbooks. We took a trip to Ohio for the 4th of July, so I have a million picutes of that, and I wanted to get caught up on our pitcures from the rest of July.

It took me a while to get into scraping though. We got there a little after 5, and it was 7:30 before I finally started on my first page. The night flew by so fast!!!
I did get 2 pages done for Travis's book.
I tried something new with my cricut. I cut these suns out of the blue paper which was my background, and I stamped some words on this striped paper and stuck it behind the blue paper.

Anyway, I drew sticking lines around them for the "sewed" look. I really loved how it turned out!!

The girl who babysits all the time took some really cute pictures on her phone while babysitting the kids, so I really wanted to put these pictures in their scrapbooks.

Through out the night, the owners do a random giveaway. So I finally won something!!! I was so excited!!

Almond Pound Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Kaitie really wanted to make cupcakes on Thursday, So I decided to try this recipe. Kaitie and I had so much fun baking together. She cracked all the eggs and licked the bowl too!! I think that was her favorite part! wink wink!!

Almond Pound Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
For the Cake:

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup cream cheese

3/4 cup xylitol

5 eggs

2 cups almond meal

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp lemon extract

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Icing:

3 oz cream cheese

3 tbsp heavy whipping cream

1 tbsp butter

1 1/3 tbsp xylitol

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Top with berries!

Directions
Cake:Cream butter, cream cheese and xylitol together, mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. In a separate bowl, mix almond flour with baking powder. Add egg/butter mixture to flour a little at a time while beating. Add lemon and vanilla extracts.Pour into greased 9"-10" Springform pan, bundt pan, ring pan, (or 9" round cake pan) and bake at 350°F for 50-55 minutes. Cool cake on rack before icing.You can change flavors for this cake by using different extract flavors and even food color if you like!Icing:To make frosting, beat room temp butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Spread over cooled cake.I like to put fresh berries on top of the iced cake.Cut into 12 servingsNumber of Servings: 12

My Amazing Yard Sale Find...& an ice cream recipe

So Yesterday, my subdivision had a yard sale. I didn't make it out to any of the sales till 3. By that time there were only a few yard sales still open. Well, this one house had a sign that said everything was 50% off. I saw this ice cream maker. It's a small one; it makes 1 pint of ice cream. It comes with 2 freezer bowls so you don't need ice and rock salt. It's just so little and cute!! It was marked $30, so I asked if it was half off too. She said yep!! I grabbed, & looked around for more deals:) When I went to pay, I asked if she'd take $10 for it. The lady said "Well, the lady who's selling that just walked away. Let me call her." After she got off the phone, she told me the lady said it was fine. So I got this really cool, brand new I cream maker for $10!!!
The funny thing is that for Christmas, I asked my mom for an ice cream maker. I couldn't decide which one I wanted. This small one, or if I wanted a bigger one??? Since both ice cream makers were the same price, my mom said I should get the bigger one since the kids will love making ice cream when they get a little older.
So now I have a small one and a big one!!
I was so excited!! I can't wait to use it today!!

Here's an amazing recipe for vanilla ice cream:
3 cups Almond Milk
2/3 cup Xylitol (sugar sub)
1 TSP Vanilla
1/3 cup Whipping cream
1 Egg

You can add a lot of other things in it too!
Strawberries
Chocolate chips
Peanut butter
If you want chocolate ice cream, just add 2 TBS of cocoa powder

I think this is me favorite layout ever!!! I had so much fun doing this one. I usually dread the birthday pages because we take so many pictures, but I'm so happy how this came out. I used Create A Critter for the clouds, Gypsy Font for the "three", Printing Press for "she's" and I just found a bunch of butterflies from all different carts.

Kaitie wanted to scrapbook with me this week. So I gave her scissors and some tape and other little scraps. She had so much fun. I think she will like to scrap like I do:)
She was so proud she cut with scissors for the first time.

My mom gave her these "Cinderwellwa" (as she calls her) PJ's, and she didn't want to take them off. She wore them from Thursday night till Saturday morning!!

I love using brads on my pages, but I hate it when I slide my page in my plastic sheet protector and the back of the brad gets stuck on the sheet. So, here's a tip to fix that:
Tape the back of the brads. This way they don't catch on the sheet protector.

Photo Shop Cherry Paper...

I found these cherry stickers last week, and I just fell in love with them!! I have been looking for white cherry paper to go with it. I look at Joann's, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby, but no one had any. So then I looked online, but again I didn't see anything that I wanted. Last night, I went to Cafe Crop for our monthly crop thinking that they would have some cherry paper...Nothing!! So, I had an idea. I asked my husband if he could make me some with photo shop. I wasn't too sure if he could or how much it would cost to print it. It took him like 2 minutes to do it (He's amazing with that program!!) Then I ran to Kinko's and had it printed for $1.90. It only took 5 minutes. I was so excited!! I know the Cricut Imagine does that too, but until I get that, Kinko's will have to do!! (Sorry, I didn't really mean to rhyme!!)

Now, I just need some good cherry pictures!!

A Zebra Painted Wall...

So, my sister lOvEs zebra stripes, so we got the bright idea to paint a wall in her room with them!! So yesterday, she painted the wall white, then I came over and drew the stripes. I hepled her paint half of it, then she finished the rest by her self:) She just loves her new wall!!

I made 80 sleeping bags and 80 little men for my mom's Sunday school lesson for this past Sunday. She taught about the man at the pool at Bethesda. She typed out a Bible verse on lables and stuck them to the men's arms. It turned out super cute!!

A 50th Birthday Present...

On Monday night, my neighbor asked me to do a scrapbook for her friend who's turning 50 today(Friday). I did 17 pages of pictures and one page with her name and an acrostic. I finished last night. I don't I have ever done this many pages in 3 days!!

2 Page Layout...

These are pages of my sister-in-law's wedding last month. My husband was a groomsman, and I played the piano for the wedding. My mom watched our kiddos during the morning, and took them to the nursery during the wedding, then I had a sitter watch them at our house for the rest of the evening. We had a great time with all of the family. It was a great day!! I love it when I get to spend time with John without the kids around. It doesn't happen very often though:) I didn't use my cricut on this 2 page layout, but I did use a bunch of embellishments I had around. I used a "Love You" stamp, and I also stamped the word "Love" on white paper. I cut it out and stuck a pin in it. I bought some embroidery floss this week and I love it!! It is so thin, and it's great inside of buttons or on the side of things like this metal heart!

I love this paper. So I used another piece, cut out the "love" and the birds in the box and poed them up using pop dots. It's a little hard to see in this picture, but I love this look!!

I took that pink kind a see through ribbon, and I ran my glue runner down it to make a wavy boarder out of it. I also put brads inside of those flower stickers. I had metal "P" & "O" so I tied a ribbon in them.

I bought a tack board, some material, some ribbon, and some brads. I used a stapler to put the material and the ribbon on. Then I stick the brads in, and it was done!! It was super easy and quick!! I think I spend less than $10 on everything too!!

Glass Etching on my truffle bowl, plus a very yummy fruit truffle recipe...

I was going to a party yesterday, and I had to bring a dish of some kind. I was having a hard time deciding what to bring until I saw my truffle bowl I got at Old Time Pottery for $5 a few months ago. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, so I ran to the store to get fruit and pudding for a fruit truffle. Before I put my dessert in the bowl I decided to etch my name on it. So I used the calligraphy cartridge for the letters and the heart. Using my gypsy, I made the letters 6 inches long, and I stretched out the letters to 1.82 so they would be thicker. Then I cut out my vinyl with my blade at 3 and the pressure at medium. Then I put the transfer tape on the vinyl, peeled the sticky off the back, then out it on the glass. I put on the etching cream and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then I just washed off the cream and peeled off the vinyl. Then this is what I got:

Fruit Truffle Recipe:

2 boxes of sugar-free jello vanilla pudding

1 8oz container of light cool whip

1 can ring pineapple-cut in small chunks(save the juice)

1 can fruit cocktail (save juice)

15 fresh strawberries

1 banana

1 angel food cake loaf

2 cups fat free milk

Directions:

mix pudding with the juice from the pineapple and fruit cocktail and 2 cups of milk, stir till firm,

blend in the cool whip with the pudding,

cut cake into small cubes,

cut the banana, strawberry and pineapple,

layer: pudding, cake, & fruit

top with fruit

Cafe Crop 4.15.11

I went to Cafe Crop tonight. I wasn't going to go, but I decided this morning I really wanted to go because I got some pictures back from Walgreens. Every time I do that, I get the urge to scrap! :) I don't like being behind with the kids books. So I went by myself tonight, and I had a really good time. I sat a table with a very nice lady who is a special ed teacher. Anyway, I got 4 pages done!! Woo Hoo!! Now I only have 4 pages of Kaitie, 2 pages of Travis, and 2 pages of me and John to do.

I found this playground paper that matched perfectly! It cam with a bunch of stickers and die cuts!

I really wanted the Mc Donalds arches, but I couldn't find an "M" that looked right, so Lisa the lady sitting at my table said that I should find a "W" and turn it upside down. Duh!! Why didn't I think of that?? I guess my brain doesn't work at full function at 10:00pm! (I'm not a night person, I am much better at like 6 in the morning! lol! I would love a crop time from like 5-11am!)

Cupcake Room

*Good Morning my fellow scrapbookers*
I helped one of my friends make a cupcake boarder for a room in her house. We bought the Pro Craft Vinyl in the pink, brown and white. She painted some of the white vinyl the same hot pink color she painted her wall so it would match perfectly. Then I cut out all the cupcakes using my gypsy and the Sweet Treats Cartridge. I used the shadow feature on all of them so they would stand out better. I made them 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It took some time figuring out how many of each color to cut out, but I did 18 total cupcakes. So I cut 6 of them with white shadows, brown muffin, hot pink frosting and light pink hearts; 6 with the light pink shadow, white muffin, brown frosting, and hot pink hearts; and 6 hot pink shadows, brown muffins, white frosting and light pinks hearts. Then I cut out 20 hot pink and light pink hearts to go in between the cupcakes. I cut “Sweet to the soul” using the Hello Kitty Font cartridge. I cut the letters 3 inches tall. I now want to have a cupcake room in my house too! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

"Peeps" Card

I made this card for a friend who loves peeps! I used the Easter Cart 2010 for the peep head, & Hello Kitty Font for the peep peep words. I used a pop dot on the nose and googly eyes for the eyes. I inked around the edges of the peep head; I felt like it made the peep stand out more. I used my EK flower punch, & I used a "Thinking of You" stamp that I embossed although it's hard to see that in this picture. I taped my ribbon to the back of the pink card, then tied a little knot with a little piece of ribbon. Then I glued the pink paper to a white card that is slightly bigger than the pink. I used dimensional glue on top of the words to make them stand out.

Since my little ones were sick today, I stayed home from church with them and got some scraping done. I am completely caught up!!! Well, until I print more picutres from my phone:) But even then, I only have a few pictures to develope.
I used this new paper I got from Cafe Crop. I love "Love" paper, and since these were the pages I took of Kaitie during Feb, I decided to use them!
I didn't even use my cricut. The stack I got had those chipboard letters in the back and a bunch of die cuts to match all the paper.

While I was at Cafe Crop, I bought this paper with the moon and caterpillar on it. I started this page, but just finished it today.

I bought 2 sheets of this paper and cut out the moon and caterpillar. I popped them up with pop dots. Then I added dimensional glue around them for a little more pop.

I cut out "Sweet Dreams" from Create a Critter.

Hello,

We just got back from our 8 day vacation to San Juan, PR and Southern Caribbean cruise. John took me for our 5th anniversary without the kids. So I got all the picts back yesterday. I used Walgreens.com and I got 60% off all of my prints. So I got over 400 picts for $24! I was so excited about that.

So, I'm getting everything in order to start scraping which takes a bit of time. So here's where I am right now. I put each day's pictures in a little bag, and wrote the day on the outside of it. Then, I got all of our extra things I saved, out and in order too.

I'm going to do a day at a time. I think I'll do about 4-6 pages for everyday of our vacation. I'm hoping to be finished with all of these by next Tuesday!! I can do it:) I think I'll scrap about 30 pages.

I bought a scrapbooking kit from the ship which will help give me more ideas!

I also got a few scrapbooking magazines from the library last night for lots of ideas!

I really love the paper from the "All of God's grace in one little face" page. That paper was amazing!!

I got the "Creating Keepsakes" magazine from March from the library this week. So I looked in there when I got a brain block! I really like that magazine.

Turkey Day Layout...

I just finished this page using some really cool paper my friend Christina gave me last year. I love fall, but I seem to have a harder time doing fall pages. I have been putting this page off for a while because I couldn't find the right layout. I am happy how this page turned out. I used Streach Your Imagination for the turkeys and PS for the brackets. I also used some ribbon I bought at CHA:) That was such a fun convention. I can't wait to go again.

I now only have 7 pages to do for Travis's scrapbook and 3 pages to do for Kaitie's book. I feel good about getting caught up. My hubby and I are going on a cruise on Saturday, and I know when I get back that I'll want to scrap our pictures right away!! So, I don't want to feel guilty about being behind for the kids books. :)

Ok, Horray!! I am done with Kaitie's 12-24 month old scrapbook!! Yay!! Now I need to buy a new book. I wanted to have the same book for 12-36 months, but this book is too full:) Oh well. Poor Travis. I have 3 books for Kaitie, and I am still on his first book 0-11 months. I guess we just took more pictures of her:)

Well, I used the Sweethearts cart which I just love. The puppy from that cart is my favorite!!This is just a super fast and simple layout. I think it took about 30 minutes. I love that kind!!

This is my scrapping area in our house. I love these drawers. I have lables on all of them and I try to put them away in the same place everytime so I know where things are. And clean up is so easy too!!! I have my cricut expression with my gypsy on my bakers rack with all my scrapbooks, and my crop-a-dial and my cuttle bug on my drawers, and my 9 inch sticker machine with my paper trimmer on this little table.

CHA Super Show in Chicago, IL

My friends and I got to go the the Craft Show on Saturday. We had a blast! We only planned on staying from 10-12, but we didn't leave till 2:30. Oh well, We just paid the babysitter more $:) She didn't mind! I felt like a little kid running around to all the booths making all the free cards and stuff. Eating the free candy, Trying to win all the drawings. I didn't win anything, but that's ok:) I got to see the "Imagine" Cricut's new machine that will soon be going on my Christmas List!!

I also got to meet "The Pink Stamper" aka Robyn:) She was so nice. We saw her at the perfect time. There wasn't anyone around really. So I got to talk to her for like 5-10 minutes!! I was so excited!! I got her Cricut Fun volumes 2 &3 and her Fruit & Veggie Puns Stamp set!! Can't wait to use them. I have a lot of piano students today, but tonight I am going to make some cards using her stamps:)

I gave this frame to John for Father's Day this year for his office. It's a little hard to read, but it says "Happy Father's Day Love Jennifer, Kaitie & Travis." I made the other one that said, "Happy Valentine's Day Love Jenn & Kaitie" for him last Valentine's Day. He just loved it so muh that I had to make him a new one.

Hello Everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. I've been super busy. Here's a card I made for my friend's birthday. I just got a Gypsy, so I used it to layout my card. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for the present and the tag. I used a stamp for the "Happy Birthday" and embossed it with pink embossing powder. I tied a ribbon around the present for a "real" present feel.
I used a corner punch that has an embossed heart with it. I think it turned out supper cute. Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Here's a page I just finished of my Daughter at the HB homecoming game. She was so cute during the game, and she looked so cute in her cheerleading outfit.

Sweet as a cupcake

I used the Sweet Treats cart for the cupcakes, Jasmine for the corners, and the Calligraphy Collection cart for the letters. It's hard to see from this picture, but I used my cuttle bug on the white part of the cupcakes, and stickels for the red hearts.

My Daughter fell off the couch the day after Christmas, and we took her to the ER because she would cry every time we touched her arm. They put a soft cast on her, and then I took her to the chiropractor a few days later. She woke up the next morning just fine!!

Ice Cream Parlor for my Ice Cream Themed Bathroom

Happy New Year
I began by cutting the ice cream bowl out of brown vinyl with the "Sweet Treats" cartridge using design studio. I set the size of the bowl at 16 3/4 in wide. I did not want the candle on the ice cream, so I removed it with a scissors after cutting the vinyl with my expression.

2. Using the layer button in Design Studio I cut out a pink and cream ice cream scoop.
3. I put red ink on a piece of pink vinyl. Then I put some glitter embossing powder on the same piece and melted it with my heating tool. I cut the cherry out at 2 in with the real size dial on. with the Sweet Treats cartridge in Design Studio.
4. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge and Design Studio to cut out the sprinkles and swirls for the ice cream scoops. I first put some pink ink on the vinyl and then embossing powder and heated it. I cut out the sprinkles and swirls at 4 in. with the real size dial off.
5. I cut out the words "ICE CREAM PARLOR" using the Winter Woodlands cartridge and Design Studio set at 4 in.
6. I used one of the cutouts from the letter "A" for the stem on the cherry.
7. I put everything up on the wall using the transfer tape.

Here's a card I made this week. I used the Hello Kitty Font for the "Thank You" using Design Studio, and then I used Celebrations for the cupcake. I used my CuttleBug on the red paper and the white circle. I put glitter glue on the cupcake and had a pop dot under it.

Here's a card I made for my husband this week. December 20th 5 years ago, he asked me to marry him.

I used the Sweethears Cart that I just got. It was so easy. It took like 10 minutes to do!! I just love my cricut. I used some double sided paper from K & Co. I used pop dots for the people and a zig glue pen to put the letters on.
